The Life of Brian

We are a tourist attraction, it's official! Last week a lovely chap called Brian pulled into our paddock. 

He is originally from Norwich, currently residing in Melbourne, Brian and his delightful wife spend a fair amount of time travelling.  Just to name a few places: All European countries, Scandanavia, several African counrtries, most of Aussie and a number of trips to NZ.

They keep travel journals of where they have been and what they did, Brian now does this solely but the marvellous thing is he illustrates his books with paintings of where they are. I was stunned when I read through his current one, the paintings are incredible and so finely detailed.

He asked if he could paint our house truck, which of course we agreed to and here is a photo of what he painted. I love it so much that I have changed my profile pic to this!

He told us he has written and illustrated 10 journals and has 5 grandkids, so they will inherit 2 books each. I advised him he should look at publishing them as I am sure many travellers would find pleasure in having them to read and enjoy. I only hope the grandkids appreciate the time, effort and value of these precious memories they have recorded. It was a pleasure to meet Brian and our door is always open for a cuppa tea!
