Silver Lining At last, for the first time in over 2 months Pete and I have smiles on our faces and we can feel the stress ebbing away. We have moved approx 500m down the hill and across the road to a stunning spot in the middle of Ohiwa Harbour.

I have to note that we have been humbled by the generosity of spirirt of the whole Ohiwa community. Several people offered us an emergency place to park, although most had no power or water; Karl and his fabulous tractor came to our aid and helped us get El Freedom down the hill, video coming shortly! And our saviours of the day could not be more different to our previous landlord/property-owner. 48 hours before homelssness and our neighbours offered us a place to stay for a trial period, but if all works out we actually offer them a solution to their house-sitting problem as they travel overseas a lot and also have a dog who they can't always take along. Mow some lawns and keep an eye on the farm and we have a perfect win-win solution!

We'll call them G&N for now, both G&N have been incredibly obliging, offering us a paddock with plenty of space and privacy; G hooked us up our own power supply so as not to impinge on their bills and provide us with an accurate reading each month; G hooked up a water pipe from the Bore to our House Truck and they have approved my request to grow veges and develop a small plot for food. G mowed the paddock and lent us his trailer to help with moving, and all for nothing expected in return! So, for now, we got them a nice bottle of bubbly as a token of our thanks.

We've invested in a large gazebo to store our belongings; and moved everything else back into lock-up storage until we figure out what to do with it all. This was made possible by the incredible donations received from WFS members, with particular mention to majicdragon, thank you all for your generous donations.

So we are still in chaos, l but the mind is calming, the house truck and gazebo are tied-down and and tidy, the vege patch is next on the agenda and a quiet Christmas with the cats sounds like heaven right now. Boxing Day is lined up at the Trewins for their annual Party on the Lawn, with croquet, bowls and flying-fox for the kids and booze and reminiscing for the grow'd-ups. Sister, nephew & mum-in-law all arrive next week so fun in the sun over New Year. There's a lot to be thankful for.

I'll be divesting myself of all the crap we've been through via this blog over the next few weeks so enjoy, relax and we wish everyone a very merry festive season and catch you all on the flip side.
